Shooting Extra Advert

When we shot this advert showcasing Extra Gum, we faced one main challenge; how do you take something so small, make it the center of attention and keep it interesting? There weren’t too many areas to look for inspiration, but we wanted to create something light hearted and short. Once we came up with the idea we felt it was fitting to go along with our message, filming began.

It was a short day of shooting as we only needed a small amount of footage overall. Half of the advert was shot inside a house in two locations and the other half outside. The camera was placed on the other side of the road from the house, equipped with a 70-200mm zoom lens, which meant it was a good distance from the subjects for the wide shots, as well as being able to capture them close enough when zoomed in. Our aim was to show, in a vibrant way, how Extra Gum can transform your breath and kickstart your day. All in all, this taught us a lot more about shooting adverts! So, just remember, next time you go out, take a packet with you.
